What tarot suit are you? Take the tarot element quiz

Seven questions about how you rest, decide and care for people. At the end you get your tarot suit, its element, your strengths and the suit you click with.

7 questions · 1 minute · 4 suits

What this quiz is

This tarot suit quiz is seven short questions about everyday life: how you recharge, what you notice in people, what you do when the day goes sideways. Each question has four answers and none of them is right or wrong — pick the one that feels closest, even if two fit.

Every answer adds points to one or two suits. The suit with the most points is your result: Wands, Cups, Swords or Pentacles. The whole thing takes a couple of minutes.

The four tarot suits and their elements

The Minor Arcana is split into four suits, each with its own element. Wands are Fire: energy, passion, the urge to begin. Cups are Water: feelings, closeness, intuition. Swords are Air: thought, honesty, clarity. Pentacles are Earth: reliability, the body, work and abundance.

In a reading, the suit tells you which area of life a card speaks to. In this quiz it describes your temperament — how you usually act and what fills you up. Everyone has all four elements, but one usually speaks the loudest.

How to read your result

Your result shows your suit and element, a short portrait, three strengths, a shadow — something that can get in your way — and a piece of advice. The shadow isn’t a verdict: it’s the flip side of the same strengths, worth keeping in mind.

If the result surprises you, look at the runner-up: the second element is often you too. And if you want to go deeper, open the suit’s page to see all 14 of its cards and how they read in a spread.

Suit compatibility: which suit are you?

Tarot elements pair up the classic way: Fire and Air support each other, and so do Water and Earth. Fire with Water and Air with Earth tend to clash — yet those pairs teach the most, because each has what the other lacks.

Compatibility is open to everyone, no sign-in needed. The fun part is comparing: send the quiz to a friend, partner or coworker with “Which suit are you?” and see how your elements fit together.

A story image and Tayna’s keys

You can share your result: Tayna builds a vertical 9:16 image with your suit and element, ready for stories or a quick message to a friend.

Your first completion earns 3 bronze keys in the “Tayna’s Keys” game. If you take the quiz as a guest, the keys wait for 24 hours — sign in or create an account and they move into your box.

What’s next: which tarot card are you?

Your suit is your element, and Tayna has a deeper quiz too: “Which tarot card are you?” It has ten questions and all 22 Major Arcana, from The Fool to The World, and describes your whole character rather than just your temperament.

And to be honest about it: both quizzes are for fun and self-reflection. They don’t predict the future or diagnose anything. If your result helps you notice something about yourself, great; if not, just smile and try again in a month.

Questions and answers

How do I find out which tarot suit I am?

Take the seven-question quiz on this page. Each answer adds points to the suits, and at the end Tayna shows the one with the most points along with its element.

What are the four tarot suits and elements?

The Minor Arcana has four suits: Wands are Fire, Cups are Water, Swords are Air and Pentacles are Earth. Fire is energy, Water is feeling, Air is mind and Earth is reliability and work.

Can I take the tarot suit quiz again?

Yes, as often as you like. If the result changes, that’s normal — mood and circumstances shape your answers. Usually two suits come up most often, and both are you.

Which tarot suits are compatible?

Classically, Fire gets along with Air and Water with Earth: Wands with Swords, Cups with Pentacles. Fire with Water and Air with Earth clash, but they teach each other a lot.

Do I need an account to take the quiz?

No, the quiz and compatibility are open to everyone. An account is only needed for the 3 bronze keys from your first completion — for guests they wait 24 hours.

Does the tarot suit quiz predict the future?

No. It’s entertainment and a chance to see yourself from a new angle. Your suit describes your temperament, not your fate, and the choices are always yours.
