- You in love now
- What stands in the way
- What will help
A love tarot reading looks at your love life as a whole rather than at one person. Whether you are in a relationship, at the start of a crush, or single and wondering why, three cards show where you stand, what is getting in the way and what could help your heart open up.
This is the home of our Love & relationships section. Below it you will find a spread for almost every love question: the state of your relationship, whether you will end up together, what someone thinks or feels about you, an ex, a first date, making up after a fight. If your question is already specific, pick the spread that fits. If it is still a vague "what is going on with me and love?", start here.
A love reading will not name your soulmate or promise a happy ending. It shows what is happening inside you and around you, so you can decide where to go next.
What each position means
- 1
You in love now
Your current state: open, tired, hopeful or guarded. Cups speak of a heart ready to feel, Pentacles of wanting something steady, Swords of a mind arguing with the heart.
- 2
What stands in the way
The block can be outside you — timing, distance, a full schedule — or inside: an old hurt, fear of closeness, a bar set impossibly high. A reversed card here often points to something you are not allowing yourself.
- 3
What will help
Your support and next step. Not a magic answer but a direction: have the conversation, meet new people, take time alone, or stop waiting for the perfect moment.
Example reading
Question: “Why does the same thing keep happening to me in love?”
- You in love nowFour of Cups
- What stands in the wayTwo of Swordsreversed
- What will helpPage of Cups
The Four of Cups in the present shows fatigue: the heart has closed and is not noticing what is being offered. The Two of Swords reversed as the block is a decision you have put off for a long time — stay guarded or take a risk again. Reversed, it says the indecision has started to weigh on you and is ready to shift. The Page of Cups as help suggests starting small: allow yourself light curiosity, a conversation, a date with no big expectations. What repeats is not fate but a habit of protecting yourself, and habits can be loosened gently.
What to ask in a love tarot spread
The best love questions start with you: what you feel, what you want, what you can do. That way the cards speak about your life instead of guessing at someone else's choices. These are the questions people bring most often:
- What is happening in my love life right now?
- What keeps me from meeting the right person?
- How can I keep feelings alive in a long relationship?
- What did my last relationship teach me?
- What should I know about love this year?
Reading it single or in a relationship
If you are with someone, the spread reads your side of the relationship: what you bring to it and where you are running low. To see both of you at once, the Relationship reading works better — it has its own position for your partner.
If you are single, the first card shows how open you are to something new, and the last one shows what brings a meeting closer. If you are curious who that person might be, try the Future Partner spread.
How Tayna reads your love cards
The deck is shuffled on our server with a cryptographic random generator, and about a third of the cards land reversed. Tayna reads them from their classic meanings and ties them to your question, so the same three cards sound different for different stories.

Frequently asked questions
How is a love tarot reading different from a relationship reading?
A love reading looks at you and your love life in general. A relationship reading looks at one specific couple: you, your partner and the space between you. If your question is about one person, choose the second.
Can I do a love reading if I am single?
Yes, that is one of the best times for it. The cards show how open you are to love right now, what holds you back and what could help. It is about you, not about someone who has not arrived yet.
Will a love tarot reading tell me when I will find love?
Not as a date on the calendar. It shows what brings love closer and what pushes it away. For timing questions there is a separate When Will It Happen spread.
Does love tarot work for same-sex couples?
Yes. The cards read feelings and connection, not gender. The spread works for any person and any couple.
How many free love readings can I get a day?
Three a day without signing in, and ten a day once you sign in with Telegram or email. One reading per love question is usually enough — repeats tend to reflect nerves more than new answers.
Can I save a love reading to look at later?
Yes. Save it to your Book of Secrets and mark it as came true when something shifts. A few months later it is a quiet way to see how your love life has changed.
