Which tarot cards belong to Venus and Mars?
This quiz tests how two opposite planets sound in tarot under the Golden Dawn system. Venus gets the Empress: abundance, care, creativity and plain enjoyment of life. Mars gets the Tower: a sudden change that knocks down whatever was built on sand. Astrology often frames the pair as attraction and drive, soft power and direct action.
Each planet rules two signs. Venus rules Taurus and Libra, whose trumps are the Hierophant and Justice. Mars rules Aries and Scorpio, whose trumps are the Emperor and Death. So Venus in tarot is not only about romance: through Taurus she speaks of values and the body, through Libra of balance and fair choices. And Mars is not only conflict; it is also the nerve to begin and the nerve to end.
Why does Mars get more decans than Venus?
The thirty-six number cards from Two to Ten each cover a decan, and the planets move through them in the Chaldean order. The count opens with Mars in the first decan of Aries and closes with Mars again in the last decan of Pisces. That leaves Mars with six decans, while every other planet, Venus included, gets five.
Venus colours the Four of Wands, Two of Cups, Nine of Pentacles, Seven of Cups and Five of Swords. Mars drives the Two of Wands, Nine of Swords, Seven of Wands, Five of Cups, Three of Pentacles and Ten of Cups. The hint changes how cards read: the Five of Swords with Venus is a win that brings no pleasure, and the Three of Pentacles with Mars is energy poured into craft.
How the quiz works
Each round draws five of twelve questions with shuffled options: card picks, true-or-myth claims and short reading scenarios. Tayna keys go to a flawless round, and you can replay as often as you like.
Planets in tarot hint at which energy is loudest right now; they are not a verdict. The Tower next to the Empress does not promise a breakup, and the Empress does not promise a wedding. Together they remind you that anything alive needs both tenderness and resolve.
