How do tarot cards describe someone's feelings?

This quiz checks whether you can read the shades of feeling in a spread. The 'their feelings' position is one of the most common in relationship readings, and the answer is rarely a plain 'loves me' or 'loves me not'. You will choose the card that best describes a person's state, work through card pairs and separate fact from popular fears.

Feelings in tarot come in many forms. There is the warm, even tenderness of Temperance. There is attraction mixed with jealousy and fear of letting go, as in The Devil. There is passion held in check, as in Strength, and a heart behind a shield, as in the Two of Swords. Seeing these shades makes a reading more honest and more careful.

Why the suit hints at the kind of feeling

The suit is a quick guide. Wands tend to mean hot, impatient interest, Cups tenderness and emotional depth, Pentacles care shown through deeds rather than words. Swords are not a cold suit by default: under the Ace of Swords feelings come without games or pretence, with respect and a wish to truly understand you.

Neighbouring cards matter as well. The Moon beside the Nine of Swords deepens anxiety and doubt, while the Four of Swords suggests the warmth is there but the person needs quiet right now. A card describes a state for today, not a verdict for years, and feelings change just as people do.

How the quiz works

Each round draws five questions out of twelve with the options reshuffled. After every answer you see an explanation and a link to the card page. Answers are final, replays are unlimited, and Tayna keys go to your first flawless round. Tarot cannot see inside another person's head; it helps you ask yourself better questions.
