How does the story of the Swords suit unfold?

This quiz checks how well you know the order of the numbered Swords, from Ace to Ten, and how clearly you see them as one story. The questions ask you to find the card that comes next, recognise a stage from its description and sort out a couple of myths. Each round draws five of twelve questions.

Tayna's cards carry no printed numbers, only the name at the bottom. So it helps to remember the order through events rather than digits. Once the story is clear, any Swords card in a spread instantly shows which stage a situation has reached.

What happens in the story from Ace to Ten?

It starts with the Ace, a clear thought that cuts through fog. Then the Two: the choice is put off and the eyes are covered. The Three brings a truth that hurts, and the Four gives a pause to recover. In the Five a fight breaks out where winning costs too much, and the Six carries the boat toward calm water.

On the new shore the Seven looks for detours and acts alone. The Eight shows the mind building its own cage, and the Nine is a night of anxious thoughts. The Ten closes the story: rock bottom, with nowhere lower to go, and the sun already rising over the sea. The Swords story is not about catastrophe but about a thought passing through trials and finding clarity again.

The quiz does not predict events. It helps you see each hard stage as part of a road that keeps going.

Open after you play: the full question set with right answers and explanations.
  1. 1. Which Swords card comes right after the Three of Swords?

    Right answer: Four of Swords

After the Three's wound comes the Four: rest and recovery. The suit's story gives the heart time to heal.

  2. 2. Which stage of the Swords story comes first?

Right answer: The fight for victory

The Five (fight) comes before the Six (crossing), Eight (bands) and Nine (sleepless night). After the quarrel, calm waters.

  3. 3. On which card does the Swords story hit a bottom with nowhere lower to go?

    Right answer: Ten of Swords

The Ten is the limit of the suit: there will be no further blow. So the story ends not in disaster but in dawn over the sea.

  4. 4. The story of the Swords suit ends in catastrophe.

    Right answer: Myth

It ends with the Ten, where the sun rises over the horizon: the worst has happened, and the climb begins.

  5. 5. On which card does the Swords story begin with a clear thought cutting through fog?

    Right answer: Ace of Swords

The Ace opens the suit: a hand from the clouds holds a straight sword. All that follows is that thought's journey.

  6. 6. What comes right after the blindfolded choice in the Swords story?

Right answer: A heart pierced by swords

After the Two, where the choice is put off, comes the Three: the avoided truth hurts, but healing starts there.

  7. 7. Which Swords card comes just before the Six of Swords?

    Right answer: Five of Swords

The Five is a fight where winning costs too much. Then the Six takes the boat away from trouble to a calm shore.

  8. 8. Where in the Swords story does the pause for rest sit?

Right answer: Between the wound and the fight

The Four sits between the Three (wound) and the Five (fight): before the next battle, the mind needs rest.

  9. 9. Which Swords card sits between the Eight and the Ten of Swords?

    Right answer: Nine of Swords

The Nine is the night of anxious thoughts between the mental trap and the bottom: the darkest hour before the Ten's dawn.

  10. 10. What follows the sly raid with five swords in the Swords story?

    Right answer: The blindfold trap

The Seven is followed by the Eight: after the detours, the mind builds itself a cage, though the feet are free.

  11. 11. Which Swords card comes right after the Six of Swords?

    Right answer: Seven of Swords

After the Six's crossing comes the Seven: on the new shore the mind looks for detours and acts alone.

  12. 12. Each Swords card has its number printed on the artwork.

    Right answer: Myth

Tayna's cards show only the name at the bottom. You tell a card's place in the story by its name and its sword count.
