What is the soul card on Tayna?
This quiz checks how the soul card works on Tayna: what it is calculated from, what it costs and where it is kept. The soul card is a Major Arcana card worked out from your date of birth. Unlike a regular reading, it is never drawn from the deck: it comes from the numbers of your birthday, so it never changes.
The soul card is always free, just like the card of the day. To find it, you enter the day, month and year you were born and, if you like, the name Tayna should call you. Your date is used only to calculate your cards and for nothing else.
How is the soul card calculated?
The method is adding up digits. First the day, month and year are added together, and the total is reduced by summing its digits until it is 22 or less. That gives your personality card, with 22 standing for The Fool. Then the same number is reduced further, down to a single digit, and that is your soul card.
If the number is already a single digit after the first step, the two cards are the same, and Tayna shows one card for both personality and soul. Otherwise you see two cards side by side. Both stay with you for life, since your date of birth never changes.
Where to find your soul card later
Once you sign in, your soul card is saved in your Book of Secrets and you can open it at any time. The For me tab holds the cards worked out from the birth date in your profile: your personality card, your soul card and the card of the current year. Each one links to its full card page.
The soul card works best as a steady reference point: it speaks less about a single day and more about what guides you. You can share it just like a regular reading.
Each run draws three random questions from a pool of eight. A run without mistakes earns keys, and you can try again as often as you like.
