What is the Fool's Journey in tarot?
The Fool's Journey is a way of reading the 22 Major Arcana as one continuous story. The Fool sets off with a light pack, and every card after him is a meeting, a lesson or a test along the road. This quiz checks whether you know which arcana comes before or after another and which stage of the road it marks.
Reading the deck this way turns a list into a plot. Once you see why Death follows The Hanged Man and why The Star rises after The Tower, the sequence sticks the way a good story does.
You will not be asked for card numbers here, since numbers have a quiz of their own. This one is about sequence and about the meaning of each step.
Three rows of seven cards
In the classic reading the Fool stands apart as the traveler, while the other 21 cards are laid out in three rows of seven. The first row, from The Magician to The Chariot, covers childhood and learning: meeting teachers, making first choices and forming a sense of self.
The second row, from Strength to Temperance, turns inward. It holds trials, pauses, endings and the search for balance. The third row, from The Devil to The World, leads through the shadow toward the light: crisis, hope, clarity, awakening and wholeness.
This is not the only map of the arcana, but it is a handy one. When a major card shows up in a spread, it hints at which part of the road the question belongs to.
How the quiz works
Each run draws five questions from a larger pool and shuffles the answers, so no two attempts look the same. After every answer you get a short explanation and a link to the card's page.
Answer all five correctly to earn Tayna keys. A mistake costs nothing: you can retake the quiz as often as you like, and the review at the end fixes the order in memory faster than any chart.
