Which tarot cards speak of fate and turning points?

This quiz checks whether you can tell the big turning-point cards apart. The Wheel of Fortune, The Tower, Death, Judgement, The Hanged Man and The World are often called cards of fate, yet each describes a different kind of change. You will pick the card that best fits a description, apply the cards to real situations and put a few common fears to the test.

The core idea is simple: a turning-point card is not a sentence. It describes the character of a moment rather than a fixed ending. A turn can arrive from outside as chance, strike suddenly like lightning, or ripen slowly inside you as a clear sense that it is time to live differently.

Telling one turn from another

The Wheel of Fortune speaks of chance and of a stuck phase coming to an end, but it does not say whether the next stretch will be easy. The Tower is the fastest of the group: something collapses in an instant, and the truth comes out with it. Death, by contrast, is the natural close of a cycle that clears space for what follows, so it should never be read as disaster.

Judgement sounds like important news or an inner call after which the old way of living no longer fits. The Hanged Man is a pause: events have frozen, the decision is still ripening and rushing it achieves nothing. The World closes the circle: one journey is complete and a larger one opens. Once you see these differences, a reading about the future stops feeling scary.

How the quiz works

Each round draws five random questions out of twelve and shuffles the options. After every answer you get an explanation and a link to the card page. Answers are final, but replays are unlimited, and Tayna keys go to your first flawless round. Tarot here is a way to look at change calmly, not a forecast.

All questions and answers

Open after you play: the full question set with right answers and explanations.
  1. 1. Which card is the core symbol of a turn, where what was at the bottom rises?

    Right answer: Wheel of Fortune

The Wheel of Fortune spins whether we want it to or not: a door opens, the rules change, chance steps in.

  2. 2. The Wheel of Fortune tells you right away whether the turn will be good or bad.

    Right answer: Myth

The Wheel does not say whether the turn will be easy or hard. It only says, clearly, that a stuck phase is ending.

  3. 3. Which card is the fastest turn, where everything changes in a single moment?

    Right answer: The Tower

The Tower: lightning hits a shaky structure and it falls at once, as a sudden event, talk or piece of news.

  4. 4. Nothing has moved for ages, and the Wheel of Fortune appears. What matters now?

Right answer: Not letting caution miss the chance

The Wheel brings a moment from outside: a call, a coincidence, a meeting. The main risk is letting caution make you miss it.

  5. 5. Which card is important news after which the old way of living no longer fits?

    Right answer: Judgement

Judgement is a result, decision or answer long awaited. After news like that, the old life no longer fits.

  6. 6. How does change under Death differ from the blow of The Tower?

Right answer: It is the natural end of a cycle

Death is not a shock but a chapter closing when it is ready. The Tower topples the shaky at once; Death ends what is outgrown.

  7. 7. Which arcanum is clearing the field before sowing, a chapter truly closed?

    Right answer: Death

Death explains why a new start became possible at all: something ended and made room for it.

  8. 8. You ask when things will change and draw The Hanged Man. What does he say?

Right answer: It is a pause; things are ripening

The Hanged Man hangs still: events have frozen, the decision has not ripened, and rushing it achieves nothing.

  9. 9. Which arcanum closes the circle: one road done, a bigger one ahead?

    Right answer: The World

The World is completion and wholeness. A major stage is finished, and the next chapter opens naturally.

  10. 10. After the change Death describes, you can always go back to how things were.

    Right answer: Myth

Death speaks of deep, irreversible transformation. Afterwards life looks different, and the old chapter stays closed.

  11. 11. Which turning-point arcanum brings a revelation as the truth comes out?

    Right answer: The Tower

The Tower's key words include revelation, release and truth: what was built on sand falls, and the sky opens.

  12. 12. How does the call of Judgement differ from the turn of the Wheel?

Right answer: An inner 'it's time', not chance

Judgement is about reassessment: you see the past anew and know where to go. The Wheel is chance from outside.
