How do the Major Arcana answer a yes-or-no question?
This quiz tests how well you can tell apart the answers of the 22 Major Arcana in the quick yes-or-no format. You don't need to recall each card on its own: the questions set the arcana side by side. Which one says yes most firmly, which one attaches a condition, and which one admits the answer is still hidden?
More than half of the Major Arcana lean toward yes when upright. Cards of movement, light and growth back what you have in mind, yet nearly every one adds its own condition: a plan, resolve, patience or honesty. A flat no is rare, and when it comes it usually refuses the old plan rather than life itself.
Then there is the group whose answer is unclear. These cards are not refusing you and they are not a mistake. They say the answer needs time, or that the question itself could be asked better.
Why a major card outweighs a minor one
In a yes-or-no reading, a Major Arcana card is usually taken as a sign that the matter is significant. When one turns up among minor cards, give its answer extra weight: it describes a turning point that touches a lot, not a passing detail.
A reversal does not always flip yes into no. More often it softens the answer or pushes it later, and for some heavy cards it actually eases the refusal. Several questions here ask where a reversal barely changes anything and where it makes the answer stricter.
If you draw three cards, it helps to count them like votes. Two yeses and a no add up to a likely yes, with an obstacle worth looking at before you move.
How to play and earn keys
Each round draws five questions from a pool of twelve and shuffles the options, so you can replay the quiz as often as you like. Some questions show four cards and ask you to choose one; others test popular myths about yes-or-no readings.
Tayna keys go to a round where all five answers are right. A short explanation follows every answer, and at the end you can reread them all. Keep in mind that a card's answer is something to reflect on, not a verdict and not a promise.

1. Which of these arcana gives the most confident yes?
Right answer: The Sun
The Sun is the clearest yes in the deck. The Moon and the Hanged Man keep the answer veiled, and the Hermit asks you to wait.
2. A reversed Major Arcana card always turns a yes into a no.
Right answer: Myth
The Sun and the Devil reversed both lean toward yes. A reversal more often softens or delays the answer than flips it.
3. Which of these arcana gives a plain no to a yes-or-no question?
Right answer: Death
Death says no to the old script. The Hierophant, Temperance and Justice all lean toward a likely yes.
4. A yes-or-no draw gives the Sun, the World and the Tower. What's the answer?
Right answer: Likely yes, with an obstacle
Count three cards like votes: two yeses and a no make a likely yes. The Tower shows what will have to be rebuilt.
5. What answer do the High Priestess, the Hanged Man and the Moon share?
Right answer: Unclear, it's still hidden
All three keep the answer behind a veil: facts are missing, a decision isn't ripe, or the question needs rewording.
6. Which arcanum says no even more firmly when reversed than upright?
Right answer: The Hermit
The Hermit upright leans no; reversed it says no. While you hide from the world, the decision won't ripen.
7. Even reversed, the Sun still leans toward yes.
Right answer: True
The Sun reversed is a likely yes: the result may come later or turn out smaller, but it isn't cancelled.
8. Whose yes depends on taking everyone's interests into account?
Right answer: Justice
Justice gives a likely yes to a fair choice. The Emperor wants a plan, the Chariot resolve, Strength patience.
9. What does a Major Arcana card among minor ones mean in a yes-or-no draw?
Right answer: The topic matters more
A major card among minors says the matter is significant, so its answer deserves to be taken more seriously.
10. Which arcanum gives a gentle yes and promises a brighter stretch ahead?
Right answer: The Star
The Star gives a soft, quiet yes: your wish has support. The World and the Chariot answer loudly and surely.
11. Which two Major Arcana give an outright no when upright?
Right answer: The Tower and Death
Only the Tower and Death say a plain no. The Devil and the Hermit lean no; the Moon and the Hanged Man are unclear.
12. How many Major Arcana give a definite yes when upright?
Right answer: 12 of 22
Twelve arcana, from the Fool to the World, give a firm yes. Three more, the Hierophant, Justice and Temperance, lean yes.
