How do the Minor Arcana answer yes or no?
This quiz tests how you read a yes-or-no answer from the 56 Minor Arcana. The questions compare cards with each other: which suit speaks most decisively, which of the Twos says yes without strings, which card softens its refusal when reversed. You don't need to know every card by heart; what matters is a feel for the temper of each suit.
Minor cards answer questions about everyday life: a conversation this week, money, a date, whether your energy will hold out. So their yes and no tend to sound more concrete than those of the Major Arcana, and they more often come with a practical condition attached.
The temper of each suit in a short answer
Wands give the most decisive yes: this is the suit of action, fire and new starts. Cups agree readily when the question is about feelings, making up or support, but turn evasive when the question rests on daydreams with nothing underneath. Swords more often say no or not now, because they describe arguments, worry and hard choices. Pentacles answer slowly: yes, but in time and with steady effort.
Every suit has its exceptions. All four Aces back a new beginning when upright, while the Tens split the most: one speaks of fullness and home, another of an overload, a third of an ending after which things finally start to climb.
Almost every court card leans toward yes, since they describe people who are able to act. There is one exception, and the quiz asks about it.
What if the answer is unclear?
An unclear answer is not a mistake. It says there are too many options, too little information, or a decision still waiting to be made. A good next step is to ask more precisely, or to split the question in two and draw a card for each part.
Each round draws five questions from twelve. Tayna keys go to a flawless round, and you can replay as often as you like. A card's answer is a prompt for reflection, never a promise.

1. Which of these Cups gives no answer because there are too many options?
Right answer: Seven of Cups
The Seven of Cups is unclear: first work out what you want. The Nine, the Ace and the Three all say yes.
2. Which suit sounds the most decisive in yes-or-no answers?
Right answer: Wands
Wands are the suit of action, fire and new starts, so their yes is the boldest. Pentacles answer more slowly.
3. Which court card is the only one that gives no firm yes or no?
Right answer: Page of Swords
The Page of Swords asks you to gather facts and pose the missing question first. Every other court card leans yes.
4. All four Aces answer yes when upright.
Right answer: True
An Ace of any suit is a beginning: a feeling, an idea, a decision or a real chance. So all four upright Aces say yes.
5. Which card flips from a likely no to a likely yes when reversed?
Right answer: Eight of Swords
The Eight of Swords reversed is a way out of the trap. The Ten of Cups, Ace of Pentacles and Three of Cups drop to a likely no.
6. You dislike the answer and want to draw again. What's the better move?
Right answer: Accept the first honest answer
The first honest result is almost always more accurate than the tenth. Reflect on the answer instead of redrawing.
7. Which of the Tens gives a firm no to a yes-or-no question?
Right answer: Ten of Swords
The Ten of Swords says no to what is used up. The Ten of Wands leans no, while Cups and Pentacles say yes.
8. How do the Swords most often answer a yes-or-no question?
Right answer: No, or not right now
Swords describe arguments, worry and hard choices, so they more often lean toward no or not now.
9. Which of the Twos says yes with no strings attached?
Right answer: Two of Cups
The Two of Cups says yes to mutual feeling and agreement. The Two of Wands leans yes; Swords and Pentacles are unclear.
10. A card marked unclear means the question has no answer at all.
Right answer: Myth
Unclear is not a refusal: information is missing or a decision is pending. Try rewording the question.
11. Which card answers not yet, because the result is still ripening?
Right answer: Seven of Pentacles
The Seven of Pentacles waits for the harvest; the answer comes later. The Wands here give a quick, loud yes.
12. You want to weigh two options. How should you ask a yes-or-no question?
Right answer: Two questions, a card for each
Questions with 'or' in them blur the answer. Two options mean two separate questions and two cards.
