What does the career tarot spread quiz test?
This quiz covers Tayna's three-card reading for work and study, with the positions Now, The obstacle and Advice. It checks how you read each one, what the suits suggest, how to interpret a court card in the advice slot, and when a neighbouring spread from the Career & study section would answer better.
Each run picks five of twelve questions and shuffles the answers. A short explanation follows every answer, and a full review waits at the end, worth a look before you pull your own career reading.
How to read the three positions
The first card shows where you really stand at work today. Its suit sets the tone: Pentacles for tasks and resources, Wands for drive and ambition, Cups for whether the job still brings joy, Swords for tension and disputes. The second card names what's holding you back, whether that's circumstances, other people or your own beliefs.
The third card is a concrete next step. A court card here suggests a role to take on: the Page learns, the Knight acts, the Queen looks after you and the work, the King takes responsibility. Major Arcana in a career reading hint at a turn rather than daily tasks, such as a new role or direction.
A reversed card in the obstacle slot often points to an inner brake: fatigue, self-doubt, the habit of carrying everything alone. That's good news, because an inner block is easier to remove than an outer one.
Where the career spread stops
The cards won't name a salary or decide whether you should quit. They show mood, motivation and hidden tension; contracts and money questions belong with a professional. Ask about promotion through your own step: not 'will they promote me' but 'what will help me grow'.
Torn between two offers? Three positions can't compare paths, so use Should I change jobs. Out of work right now? Will I find a job answers more precisely, and before meeting an employer there's Job interview. Take the quiz and these forks will stick.

1. Which position comes second in the career spread?
Right answer: The obstacle
The order is Now, The obstacle, Advice. There is no surroundings or outcome card, only a next step.
2. What do Cups in the Now position of a career spread show?
Right answer: Joy in the work
Cups in Now ask whether the job still brings joy. Pentacles cover tasks, Swords cover disputes.
3. Which court card in the advice slot tells you to become a learner again?
Right answer: Page of Pentacles
In the advice slot the Page learns, the Knight acts, the Queen nurtures and the King takes charge.
4. The career spread will tell you whether to quit your job.
Right answer: Myth
The cards don't decide for you or predict pay. They show what's going on under the surface.
5. The Moon falls in The obstacle of a career spread. What does Tayna suggest?
Right answer: Ask direct questions
The block is fog: vague tasks and rumours. Ask direct questions and put agreements in writing.
6. You have two job offers. Which spread can compare them?
Right answer: Should I change jobs
Three positions can't compare paths. Should I change jobs shows staying and leaving side by side.
7. What does a reversed card in the career obstacle slot often mean?
Right answer: An inner brake
A reversal here often means fatigue, self-doubt or the habit of carrying everything alone.
8. The Five of Swords is your career obstacle. What's blocking growth?
Right answer: A costly fight to win
The block is a fight for being right that costs too much. Sometimes it pays to give way on small things.
9. What's the better way to ask about a promotion in a career reading?
Right answer: What will help me grow?
Other people make that call. The cards see your own step and what hides your work far better.
10. What does the Tower mean in a career reading?
Right answer: An abrupt change
Restructuring, a project ending, old plans collapsing. The Tower often clears away what was in the way.
11. Which advice card asks you to calmly hold your ground on deadlines?
Right answer: Seven of Wands
The Seven of Wands as advice isn't aggression; it's steady confidence when pressure comes from all sides.
12. The career spread works for studies too.
Right answer: True
The positions read the same way: where your studies stand, what's in the way and what to do next.
