What does the yearly spread quiz test?
This quiz checks how the yearly spread works on Tayna: thirteen cards, where the first sets the theme of the year and the other twelve run from January to December. The questions cover the theme card, what suits and Major Arcana say in the months, and how the general forecast differs from your own reading.
It is tempting to turn a yearly spread into a list of predictions, but it reads better as a story. The theme of the year is the key to every month, and December is worth comparing with it: that is how you see whether the year forms a whole.
The quiz does not promise events or scare you with hard cards. A hard card on an important month is a hint about where you will need strength and support, and there is a question about that too.
The general forecast and your own spread
At the top of the spread page sits Tayna's general forecast for the year, the same for everyone. The server draws its cards, and on November 1 the page switches to the coming year. Below it you can lay your own thirteen cards for a personal question, and they do not have to match the general backdrop.
A yearly spread is done once and revisited. Save it to the Book of Secrets and reread each month's card together with the theme at the start of the month. Do not confuse it with the Year card, which is calculated from your birth date rather than drawn from the deck.
Most people do it in late December or the first days of January, but a birthday or the start of a big chapter works too. The twelve months then count from that point.
Rules
Each round draws five questions from a pool of twelve, and the options are reshuffled every time. Answers are final, but you can replay as often as you like. Your first flawless round earns five bronze keys.
