How do the Wands court cards differ?
This quiz compares the four figures of the fire suit: the Page, Knight, Queen and King of Wands. All of them are full of energy, yet each shows it in a different way, and the questions check whether you can catch that difference — in the artwork, in temperament and in how the figure reads in a spread about a person. Each round draws five questions from twelve.
Most of the time the answer is one of four card pictures. Pick the court card the description fits, and the explanation will tell you briefly why it is that one.
Four ways to burn
The Page of Wands is fire still learning to burn: curiosity, news of something new, a bold first step and a readiness to learn on the go. The Knight is the same fire in motion: impulse, adventure, a trip, a decision made in a minute. Four walls feel too tight for him, and long waiting is his weakest spot.
The Queen of Wands is mature fire turned inward: warm confidence, charisma, independence and the knack of lighting others up without waiting for anyone's permission. The King is mature fire turned outward: the idea becomes a plan, the plan becomes work, and people follow. He takes the wheel and thinks about the big goal.
In a reading about someone, Wands court cards describe energetic, direct, passionate people of any gender and age — or the way you yourself express your will. The figure shows a way of acting, not a set of personal details. Tarot helps you recognize a familiar character and think about how to get along with it.
