What do reversed Wands mean in a reading?
This quiz checks how you read the reversed cards of the Wands suit, from the Ace to the King. Upright, the Wands speak of will, passion and action; reversed, they show where that fire is blocked: it cannot catch, it burns too hot, or it gets wasted. Each round draws ten questions from a pool of twenty-four.
A reversed card is not the same as a bad one. For the Ten, reversed means relief as the extra load is finally set down; for the Five it can mean the argument is calming. Those shades are exactly what the quiz tests: you need more than a keyword, you need to see where the card's energy has shifted.
Some questions ask you to pick one of four Wands cards from a description of a reversed meaning. Others give you a real-life situation where a reversed card turned up and ask what it suggests. A couple of statements ask you to tell a fact from a common myth.
How do you keep the reversed fire cards straight?
A simple map helps. The early cards of the suit, reversed, tend to speak of delay and hesitation: the spark is there but no step follows. The middle ones speak of broken rhythm, a spoiled celebration, an argument driven underground and fatigue from constant defense. The last ones speak of exhaustion and the need to share the load. The court cards show a person's fire turning into scattered focus, rashness, jealousy or pressure.
There is a second key too: a reversed card often covers the same theme as the upright one, only from the other side. The Eight is still about speed, but now about broken timing. The Seven is still about defense, but now about being worn out by it. If you remember the upright meaning, you can usually work out the reversed one by asking what this card's fire is missing or has too much of.
On Tayna, tarot is a tool for reflection, and reversed cards are especially useful that way: they point to where something can be adjusted. Keys go to a round with all ten answers right, and you can play as many times as you like, with fresh questions every time.
