What are warning cards in tarot?

This quiz tests whether you understand what different tarot cards warn you about. A warning card is not a verdict or a sign of disaster. It is a hint about where to slow down, what to double-check and which habit to drop while the situation is still in your hands. The questions compare these cards: each has its own risk zone and its own advice.

Some cards warn about thoughts. The Nine of Swords shows night-time worry that feels far heavier than what is actually happening, and advises against big decisions after dark. Others warn about actions. The Five of Swords reminds you that you can win the argument and lose the team. The Knight of Swords asks you to pause before sending a sharp message.

A third group speaks of temptation and money. The Devil notices impulse buys and purchases made for status, the Page of Wands an interest that burns for a single evening. The Ten of Wands cautions against taking on new obligations while the load is already heavy.

Why is a warning good news?

A warning arrives in advance, which means there is time to change something. The Moon asks you to get details in writing when information is missing. The Four of Cups notices that with arms folded it's easy to miss a hand held out to you. The Six of Cups reminds you not to keep old methods just out of habit.

Even the heaviest of these cards doesn't lock the door. The Devil's chains sit loosely and can be lifted off by your own hands, one step at a time. The task is to notice them in time, without panic or haste.

It helps to read these cards together with their neighbours. Next to bright cards, a warning concerns one detail worth fixing. Next to cards of fatigue or worry, it says you need to recover first and only then decide and act.

How the quiz works

Each round has five questions from twelve, with shuffled options. Tayna keys go to a round with no mistakes. The cards help you look at a situation more carefully, but they don't replace a specialist's advice on health, money or the law.

All questions and answers

Open after you play: the full question set with right answers and explanations.
  1. 1. Which card warns that you can win the argument and lose the team?

    Right answer: Five of Swords

The Five of Swords asks you to pick your battles and not mistake firmness for pressure. Sometimes silence is strongest.

  2. 2. Late evening, a big decision ahead, and the Nine of Swords appears. Its advice?

Right answer: Sleep on it until morning

Night thoughts feel worse than reality. By daylight the real numbers are usually more accurate than anxious forecasts.

  3. 3. Which arcanum warns about buying for status and borrowing for things you don't need?

    Right answer: The Devil

The Devil speaks of temptation: money can hold you tighter than it seems. Ask what you are really trying to buy.

  4. 4. The Devil in a reading means there is no way out of the situation.

    Right answer: Myth

The Devil's chains sit loosely: you can lift them off with your own hands, step by step, once you see them.

  5. 5. Which card warns that sitting with folded arms can make you miss an offer?

    Right answer: Four of Cups

The Four of Cups looks down while a new gift is held out: an invitation, an offer, a sincere hand.

  6. 6. The Moon appears before you sign a contract. What does it advise?

Right answer: Get the details in writing

The Moon warns of missing information. It helps creative work, but not the signing of important papers.

  7. 7. Which card cautions against spending on whatever sparked your interest for one evening?

    Right answer: Page of Wands

The Page of Wands is a time to learn and experiment with small sums. It frowns on impulse spending.

  8. 8. You're fired up, typing a sharp reply, and your card of the day is the Knight of Swords. Now?

Right answer: Pause before you hit send

The Knight of Swords suits bold moves, but before a harsh message he advises you to slow down.

  9. 9. What kind of standstill at work does the Four of Pentacles warn about?

Right answer: Refusing to share or delegate

The card supports caution, but if you won't share knowledge or hand off tasks, the work stagnates.

  10. 10. Which card warns at work against clinging to old methods out of habit alone?

    Right answer: Six of Cups

The Six of Cups values warm memories and experience, but doesn't want the familiar to block the new.

  11. 11. A warning card in a reading is a reason to panic and do nothing.

    Right answer: Myth

A warning comes early and shows where to slow down or what to double-check while there is still time.

  12. 12. The Ten of Wands turns up in a money question. What does it advise against for now?

Right answer: Taking on new obligations

Many expenses, little reserve. The card asks you not to take on new debt until things ease up.
